He was born in Rugby in 1887. He studied at Rugby School and Cambridge. He is regarded as the founder of Georgian Poetry. He is honoured as Sir Philip Sidney. He is also famed as the Saint Rupert of England. He has written 7974 and Other Poetry (1915). He is a soldier poet.
